It’s a three-peat! U.S. News & World Report announced their Best Children’s Hospitals rankings today, and we are honored to be named the No. 3 children’s hospital in the country, for the third year in a row.
In addition to the No. 3 ranking overall, we’re excited to share the news that Cincinnati Children’s received the No. 1 rank in Cancer!
We’re also ranked nationally in all 10 subspecialty categories that U.S. News ranks – making us an Honor Roll Hospital for the fifth year in a row.
In addition to Cancer’s move from No. 3 to No. 1, Cardiology and Heart Surgery moved up from No. 8 to No. 5; and the Orthopaedics, Urology and Nephrology programs each jumped up one slot in the rankings as well. For the full report and analysis, visit our awards and rankings page.
The consistent overall rank and improvement in five subspecialty areas is attributable to specific continued efforts to further improve outcomes for our patients, efforts to expand our expertise in each of the subspecialty areas, and eliminating patient harm as much as possible. Continuous improvement is an integral part of our culture at Cincinnati Children’s and we’re excited to see that these efforts – carried out every day by our dedicated employees – continue to have an impact on this third-party assessment of our care.
To help us announce this exciting news, Dr. Marc Levitt, director of the Colorectal Center for Children at Cincinnati Children’s, recently had a very serious conversation with some friends:
We invite you to learn more about our U.S. News Rankings and explore the ranked subspecialty programs to learn how they approach patient care.
And finally, we thank you, our community – near and far – for allowing Cincinnati Children’s to be part of your lives. We are a collection of thousands of people, all doing our part to make sure that the children in our local community and the children who visit the medical center from far away are greeted with care, compassion and expertise.
We are grateful for days like today when we have an opportunity to share exciting news and reiterate our commitment to improving child health. Thank you!
Congrats to Cincy Childrens Hospital. My son benefited from the awesome care for cancer there. Josh and the entire Mack family see why you are now #1 in cancer care!
